INTER CLUB SPORTS CARNIVAL - 27th July to 1st August  2010:-

Keeping in line with the ethos of Club’s sporting traditions, the INTER CLUB SPORTS CARNIVAL has been organized by our club from 27th July to 1st August 2010, this being the third year in succession. The participating clubs are Calcutta Rowing Club, Lake Club, Dakshin Kalikata Sansad, Dalhousie Institute, Indian Life Saving Society, Bengal Rowing Club and Outram Club, beside us – the host Club.

This Inter Club Sports Carnival will comprise of the following events: - Snooker, Darts, Tennis, Table Tennis, Eight-A-Side Cricket and Five-a-Side Football.

You must be aware that, such events work up costs, which have to be made up with the assistance of sponsorship and generosity of fellow members in garnering this support. The Club takes this opportunity in requesting members to come forward and endorse some patronage, which would attend to the need of the situation.

Members would agree that an event of such magnitude do involve time and sweat to make them happen. In fact confirmations from all participating Clubs have reached us just three days back. As such, this carnival also necessitated substantial amount of administrative efforts, which was obviously time consuming. The club’s managing committee appeals to all members to come forward and foster a cohesiveness that will go towards making a resounding success, of this unique sporting event of the club.

Dear members, please do come, enjoy the excitement and flavor of this mega sporting event, organized, hosted and brought to you by your Club – a salute to the spirit of clubbing and fostering the bond of friendship and fellowship which our Club proudly upholds.

Looking forward, to your wholehearted participation in all spheres and request you to be there on all days to cheer our club participants as well as the participants of other clubs.

ANNUAL DRAMA – FRIDAY 27th AUGUST, 2010 AT GYAN MANCH, 6.30 PM SHARP.

Annual Drama has now become a part of the tradition and culture of our club. After active successful venture for the last four years in staging full length drama – ‘Chhadabeshi’, ‘Jai Ma Kali Boarding’, ‘Sukher Paira’ and ‘Darbesi Kissa’ respectively, this year we have decided to stage a hilarious drama – “KENARAM BECHARAM” by Manoj Mitra on Friday 27th August, 2010 at Gyan Manch, 6.30 pm sharp.

Members’ alongwith their family and Guests are cordially invited to come and encourage this drama venture from the Club by attending in large numbers. A limited number of Complimentary Cards will be available at the Club Office from 17th August 2010 on first come first served basis.

P.N. -   Please note that chauffeur driven cars will not be allowed to be parked inside the club on the day of Club programmes and preference of parking will be given to self driven cars of members on First come first served basis. However, you may park your cars at Auckland place which is a parking area and use the Tennis Court side entrance. The Club will make necessary security arrangements in this regard.
